I knew nothing about automation. That's exactly why I started here.

As an intern I help out across the full breadth of the work. I help translate VionA's strategy into things like the website, I help at events and I join in wherever I can. Along the way I'm learning how automation works and how to build a good relationship with clients. I get a lot of freedom to figure things out and make decisions myself, and that gives me a lot of energy.
I've just completed my bachelor's degrees in Economics and Philosophy at Erasmus University. Before starting my master's, I wanted to throw myself into something completely new one more time: a field I knew nothing about beforehand. The atmosphere at VionA appealed to me straight away, and I wanted to stay in Rotterdam. That's how I ended up here.
Behind every model there's a person. That's what I learned from economics and philosophy, and it's exactly what automation is about too.
At first glance VionA looks like a very technical company. But really it's about the people behind the automation, and that's what makes it so much fun for me.
I'm on the tennis court. Since the start of my internship I've been playing again in the evenings. I still need to get back up to level, but I love being outside and playing. Otherwise I spend a lot of time with friends and family.
Fixing things. I'm not technical at all, so when something breaks, I really have a problem. A mini robot mechanic to fix my lamp: that would make me very happy.
Skiing in Japan. I already love skiing, and in Japan it's supposed to be a completely different experience.
