The best part is the puzzle: how do you put a process together smartly?

I build automations for clients. Usually it's about administrative tasks: repetitive work nobody likes doing themselves, which is why it can be automated, or really should be. The part I enjoy most is designing the process. That's where the real thinking and puzzling happens. Working with clients is also a great learning experience: you work with lots of different sectors and keep learning how another company is put together.
I studied Econometrics and then the master's in Quantitative Finance, both at Erasmus University. I bring that way of thinking into my work. After graduating I was looking for something with data, at a company doing innovative work with AI. That's how I found VionA. I came in for a chat with Sam. It was a good conversation and it all sounded interesting, so I thought: let's give it a go.
A good automation starts with a clear setup. If you only discover halfway through what you should have agreed on beforehand, everything runs late, and that's not necessary.
There will always be exceptions, but with a good structure up front you keep the chance of errors as small as possible.
I love playing football. I play in a team with friends, so it's mostly about having a good time. And whenever I can, I like to go on a great trip.
Cleaning at home. Not cooking, I actually enjoy that. My girlfriend recently suggested a massage robot. Also a good one.
Pub quizzes. I know a lot of useless facts, and I'm also good at making quizzes.
